Sunshine Village Ski Resort in Banff, Alberta will host RMASC's annual ShredAbility, an all mountain Scavenger Hunt & fundraising event held on Sunday March 15 2015. All money raised will go towards Rocky Mountain Adaptive Sports Centre and its life changing programs. To enter, each team of 2 will need to raise a minimum of $400. Prizing will be awarded to the top fundraising teams, as well as fastest & slowest team, best costume and many more!
The day will include ski and snowboarding at the fantastic Sunshine Village, lift ticket, breakfast, lunch, a fun Scavenger Hunt, adaptive challenges, a cash bar, silent auction and prize giving!

The Banff Jasper Relay is a scenic 258km road race run in 15 stages on highways from Banff to Jasper. The relay is a fundraiser for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
The relay will consist of 2 phases run simultaneously:
• Phase 1 has 6 stages from Banff to Saskatchewan River Crossing.
• Phase 2 has 9 stages from Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper.
Team results are based on the cumulative times for both phases of the relay added together
The Banff Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K offers one of the planets’ most incredible and beautiful running experiences. 2017 marks a very special commemorative edition of the Banff Marathon as Canada celebrates its 150th anniversary in its first National Park. Starting in the picturesque mountain village of Banff, participants will flow through a series of incredible natural, wildlife, and historical stages as they pass by the serene Vermilion Lakes and journey along the stunning Bow Valley Parkway. The return trek will travel alongside the Bow River and over Banff’s famous bridges finishing to cheering crowds in Banff’s downtown Central Park.
RBC GranFondo Banff, the only “big ride” in North America to take place entirely within a national park, will see cyclists follow a beautifully scenic 142 km route around Canada’s iconic Rocky Mountains. Capacity will be kept to a maximum of 1,500 participants.
This annual 10K and 22K road race has been taking place for over 30 years in Banff and has been voted Alberta's best road race. The organized race, usually held on a September Saturday, donates profits generated from the event back into the community. Starts at the Banff Recreation Grounds.

To commemorate the anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, every school in Canada is invited to participate in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. This event will be held simultaneously at schools large and small from coast-to-coast. With millions of schools participating, this could one of the largest single-day events in Canadian history and will allow our youth to show all of Canada the power they have to help others.
This Terry Fox Run takes place in Banff every September is in support of cancer research. In Banff, the run takes place at the Recreation Grounds, while there are similar runs held in Canmore and Lake Louise.
You think running is hard? Try it with snowshoes! The Blitz Snowshoe Fun Run will be a fun day hiking/running through single track, double track, cat track, up/down ski runs, and fresh powder terrain. 5km or 10km course. Prizes for top finishers in each age category.
Get out and enjoy the mountain terrain in beautiful Alberta. There is no better way to do it than on snowshoes with the Blitz!
