Ticino is Switzerland's southern canton, famous for Swiss cuisine with Italian influences. Erwin Widmer has operated Ticino Restaurant since 1979. This restaurant allows diners to taste the flavours that Italian influence has brought to Swiss dishes. This distinctly European restaurant offers a variety of Chef's signature dishes including Petto di pollo "Ticino", which is a chicken breast stuffed with a light goat cream cheese and breaded with hazelnut crumbs. This restaurant is located in the High Country Inn.
Banff's renowned fondue restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and serves an extensive menu of oil and hot rock fondue selections with a Rocky Mountain twist. Beef, buffalo and venison steaks are also on the menu, along with rattlesnake, frog, shark, alligator and ostrich!
