Ticino is Switzerland's southern canton, famous for Swiss cuisine with Italian influences. Erwin Widmer has operated Ticino Restaurant since 1979. This restaurant allows diners to taste the flavours that Italian influence has brought to Swiss dishes. This distinctly European restaurant offers a variety of Chef's signature dishes including Petto di pollo "Ticino", which is a chicken breast stuffed with a light goat cream cheese and breaded with hazelnut crumbs. This restaurant is located in the High Country Inn.

The Meatball Pizza & Pasta delivers the fun experience that dining should be. The restaurant offers great Italian inspired food, attentive servers and moderate prices coupled with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The open kitchen prepares flavourful pasta dishes, stone-hearth oven thin-crust pizzas, tantalizing meat and vegetarian entrées and a variety of house made appetizers and delicious desserts. This restaurant is located in the Banff Ptarmigan Inn.

A treat for the senses, Giorgio's offers a calming trattoria-style interior with warm colours, mahogany tables, romantic candlelight and exposed ceiling beams. The Italian-inspired menu features a selection of classic pastas, thin-crust wood-fired pizzas, seafood and meat entrees prepared from specially imported and fresh Canadian ingredients.

A warm, traditional interior reminiscent of 1900 Banff welcomes diners to enjoy a selection of pasta, chicken, steak and seafood dishes prepared fresh from quality ingredients. All entrees come with complimentary salad, sourdough bread, spumoni ice cream, and tea or coffee. A pleasant dining experience at great value, the Old Spaghetti Factory is located on the second floor of the Cascade Plaza Mall.

An extensive, fresh selection of pizzas, pastas, calzones, Italian wings and salads are on the menu at Vanelli's, a Canadian chain restaurant with more than 25 years' experience. The Banff location can be found in Cascade Plaza.

Enjoy a graceful, Italian-inspired interior and authentic menu highlighting entrees such as grilled swordfish, veal tenderloin, spaghetti carbonara and saltimbocca. Open for dinner Friday to Tuesday from 6pm to 9.30pm. Reservations are recommended. Castello Ristorante is located at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

Set in a converted local home, this charming restaurant boasts one of Banff's biggest open-air patios. Diners enjoy a menu of both traditional and new homemade Italian dishes. Try the traditional lasagna, cilantro infused salmon or braised lamb shank. Families are welcome. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
