Shopping in Banff
Perusing the various shops is a popular activity for visitors to Banff. Whether craving an intense afternoon of shopping or just a browse through the windows, there is much to check out here. Most shops can be found in the city's downtown area situated along Banff Avenue and the surrounding streets.
SHOPPING MALLS
There are quite a few small shopping malls to explore along Banff Avenue. Cascade Plaza is Banff's largest mall, featuring four floors and over 50 stores. There is a food court and a few restaurants too. Other malls such as the Clock Tower Village Mall and Kirby Lane are smaller, but offer a variety of services.
CANDIES & CHOCOLATE
While walking down Banff Avenue visitors are likely to notice a delicious aroma lingering in the air. It comes from the homemade candy and chocolate shops spread along the street, and crowds of people frequently queue to indulge in a tasty local treat. The Fudgery specializes in handmade chocolates, offering mouth-watering fudges, truffles, brittles and more. Welch's Chocolate Shop is a haven for candy lovers. Its walls are lined with all sorts of candies, licorices, chocolates and even maple syrup products. Sugar-free items are also sold here.
CLOTHING
There are plenty of places for men, women and children to find clothing for all seasons and activities. Casual dress, formal and athletic wear are available at a selection of stores such as Roots Canada and Jacques Cartier Clothing.
