The Douglas Fir Resort Waterslide is open to guests of the resort and the general public. Featuring two waterslides, including one that is 67 m (220 ft) and another that is 58 m (190 ft), this center also boasts a steam room, a whirlpool, a kiddie pool, foosball and a billiard table. Open weekdays from 4pm to 9:30pm in the winter, 2pm to 9:30pm in the summer and Sat/Sun/hol 10am to 9:30pm.
Open May through October, the Banff Recreation Grounds offer three ball diamonds, a rugby/soccer field, two tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, two children's playgrounds, picnic sites and shelters, and washrooms. Facilities can be booked for private use.
Located in the Banff Centre, Sally Borden Fitness & Recreation offers an extensive range of services including fitness classes, an aquatics centre, a climbing gym, and squash courts. Massage and physiotherapy services are also available.
The fully-equipped Mountain Health and Fitness Club is located at the Banff Rocky Mountain Resort. The facility boasts a 10-station gym, aerobic machines, weights, a sauna and massage therapy.
