The popular Banff Skateboard Park is currently closed for renovations and is scheduled to reopen for summer 2010. Located next to the Banff Recreation Center, the supervised park boasts 25,000 sq ft of terrain for skateboarders, BMXers and inline skaters. Challenges include ramps, boxes, pyramids and rails. Helmets must be worn and those under 18 years of age must have a parent waiver. The park runs lessons, camps and competitions and is open May through October.
