Banff Carriage Tours & Sleigh Rides

Holiday on Horseback offers elegant and private horse-drawn carriage tours daily in the Banff town site. Tours range in length from 15 minutes to one hour and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Carriage tours leave from the hitching post at the Trail Rider Store. Customized carriage transfers are also available. During winter months, visitors can embark on a sleigh ride with their family and friends. Rides depart from Warner Stables and take place in the meadow on the outside of the Banff town site.

Boundary Ranch offers an authentic Western experience and a wide range of on-site activities including horse-drawn wagon and sleigh rides. Group hayrides on horse-drawn wagons are a big part of the Kananaskis Country experience. Wagons in summer and sleighs in winter accommodate twenty people at a time and travel the scenic trails surrounding the ranch. In winter, sleighs can be arranged to travel the trails at the Kananaskis Village Resort.

Enjoy a sleigh ride through the snow, while experiencing spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies. The 45-minute tour takes passengers along the Bow River, showing them the remote areas, Western-style. Romantic private sleigh rides are also available. Packages include chocolates and liqueurs. A buffalo robe is supplied to keep the couple warm. All Sleigh Rides depart every hour on the hour from 10am until 8pm daily during winter months.
