The ski resorts are not the only slopes visitors to Banff can ride. Tobogganing is a popular past time enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. There are a couple of hills in town, the main one being at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel beside their outdoor skating rink. The Cascade Ponds on Minnewanka Lake Road has a few gentle hills as well to enjoy. Toboggans may be rented from area shops such as Snowtips and the Banff Springs Ski and Mountain Sports.
