Golden Eagle Express Gondola
8 passenger gondola travels 3413 m (11,266 ft) in 18 minutes, climbing 1128 vertical m (3700 ft) to a mountain peak overlooking the Rocky, Selkirk and Purcell Mountains. Four interpretive trails allow for short walks and adventurous hikes. Experience the Kicking Horse Grizzly Bear Refuge, a research, education and conservation centre. Gondola and grizzly bear refuge $30, yth/sen $27, child $12, tot free. Also downhill mountain biking (rentals available). Lake Louise Summer Sightseeing Lift & Gondola
From the top, look across the valley to majestic Lake Louise and a panorama of glaciated peaks. The 14 min ride goes to 2088 m (6850 ft) on Mt Whitehorn. At the lift's upper end are a viewpoint, licensed snack bar and Wildlife Interpretation Centre with displays, presentations, and guided and self-guided subalpine meadow walks. At the base, Lodge of the Ten Peaks offers breakfast and lunch buffets, and a self-serve restaurant.
