The Banff Airporter offers scheduled service between the Calgary International Airport and Banff. Banff Airporter offers 12 departures in each direction daily and tracks flights, making sure each passenger has a reliable ride even if the plane is late. Long-distance bus service across Canada from British Columbia in the west to Montreal in Quebec. Inter-provincial services are also available. Connections to Greyhound service in the U.S.A. Buses are modern with air-conditioning and restrooms. Passes are available for unlimited travel across the country for specific time periods. Some locations are used only for pick up and do not feature ticketing, baggage or courier services.
The municipality of Banff operates a public transit system that covers the whole townsite. Roam, new to Banff in 2008, is an environmentally friendly service that operates bio-diesel/electric hybrid buses. Skis, snowboards, strollers and bikes are welcome on the bus with storage available. A ramp makes it wheelchair accessible as well. There are three routes in the summer, which connects the townsite with Tunnel Mountain, Banff Springs Hotel and the Banff Gondola. Pay cash for fares on the bus, or purchase reduced-rate tokens at Town Hall (110 Bear St). There are four bright-white Roam buses, each painted with either a grizzly bear, wolf, mountian goat or elk.
