Banff Public Transit
The municipality of Banff operates a public transit system that covers the whole townsite. Roam, new to Banff in 2008, is an environmentally friendly service that operates bio-diesel/electric hybrid buses. Skis, snowboards, strollers and bikes are welcome on the bus with storage available. A ramp makes it wheelchair accessible as well. There are three routes in the summer, which connects the townsite with Tunnel Mountain, Banff Springs Hotel and the Banff Gondola. Pay cash for fares on the bus, or purchase reduced-rate tokens at Town Hall (110 Bear St). There are four bright-white Roam buses, each painted with either a grizzly bear, wolf, mountian goat or elk.
